The Village

Step back in time when log cabins and one room schoolhouses were the norm, when televisions and telephones were yet unknown. Turn onto Main Street, which remains unpaved, and experience historic Hahn's Peak, Colorado where turn of the century log cabins still stand as a testament to time-honored building techniques. One of these cabins is seasonally occupied by a woman who attended the community's one room schoolhouse.

Historic Cabin

Steamboat lake and Sand Mountain act as a spectacular back drop for the log cabins and one room school house currently used for town meetings, and the annual Thanksgiving potluck. The museum was added more recently to preserve the community's rich mining heritage. It is open to the public during summer months from noon till 4 pm.
